Getting Creative With Sustainable Lifestyles

Friends and Artists,
We're going back to basics! What does self-sufficiency mean for you? The good news is, self-reliant living can take many forms and anyone can take steps toward living more sustainably. Even now, many of us are discovering the benefits of sustainable lifestyles: saving on living costs, having extreme confidence in your own resources, and taking responsibility for your own well-being, to name a few.
With all this time on our hands, people in the community are quickly building up the confidence to tackle that one project they've always been itching to try. You can plant a raised bed or container garden, try your hand at composting, and start canning in-season fruits and vegetables. You can learn - or improve upon - how to cook your own meals and bake homemade bread. You can be your own barber [check out this guide on how to cut your own hair during quarantine], make your own repairs, and embrace DIY crafty homemade gifts. The possibilities are endless!
Many folks are choosing to view this season as a learning opportunity. The more we take the time to do things ourselves, we not only gain knowledge, but it also helps us become less dependent in the long run. Have a few tips on how you've been living sustainably? We'd love to hear your story!
In the coming weeks, we will continue to be a source of hope, inspiration and moral support. For more information about our mission, visit our website, or contact us at [hidden email]. Keep it creative!
Sincerely,
The SWCA Team
